Frohe Weihnachten!

Christmas 2009! We had a great day today.
Yesterday I had to work, I went into work early so I could get off early as it would have been horrible to get off at 4:30 pm on Christmas Eve. So I got off at 2:30 pm instead but ended up going to hit some more stores on the way home. I have never had to go shop for more gifts on Christmas Eve, prior to this year I only went out on Christmas Eve for possibly finding just one more thing. Well, next year I intend to be done shopping at least 2 weeks prior to Christmas again. Justin stayed up with me and helped wrap the gifts. He even wrapped his own not knowing what was in the boxes though.
Megan made sure she had cookies and milk for Santa before she went to bed and we sprinkled oatmeal onto the back lawn for the reindeer. (Not sure but Spencer may have helped himself to some). She went to bed nicely and this morning woke up late, crawled into be with me and we didn't get up until 8:30 or even later. Geoff was already up waiting for us. When she came into the bedroom she did pronounce that Santa brought lots of presents for all of us but still came and laid down with me. Then she said we should eat breakfast first and then open presents, that is what we did.
She is such a great little girl and it was a joy watching her open the gifts and seeing how delighted she was by everything she received. The Barbie Shopping Time Cash Register was her favorite, I think, and the Wall-E robot ranked almost as high.
Justin seemed to be pleased with his gifts also. Although he did not get the Kindle he received the PS3 "which made his year". Now if they just would invent Calculus for PS3 or Chemistry for PS3 then it would make a lot of tuition-paying parents' year also. Hm, have to keep that one in mind, might be sitting on a goldmine here.
